So much going on!!!

So much has been going on lately!!

I am still SUPER giddy about getting engaged!

We have actually started to do some planning

We have the date and place set, November 06,2010 at a resort out here in AZ.

I met with the catering manager today to go over where I want the ceremony and reception and it made me even more excited, if that is possible.

I decided on my colors too, I wanted something that would look nice since it would be fall but nothing that would look too much like fall.

I decided on chocolate brown, ivory & champagne. I think they will go nice together and they will look good at the place where it is all going down too.

Now we are figuring out a budget and all that "fun" stuff.

I bought the invitations today and I love them. They are simple and elegant, best thing is the price $40 for 100. We are inviting approx 100 people and they came with several test sheets so it is perfect. I will be doing them myself but it should not be too hard. I just need to come up with some save the dates, but that should not be too hard. I am also going to be making the centerpieces myself, so any ideas are welcome!!

Gosh I feel like I am just rambling on but I can't help. Oh and I have lost 10 pounds woooo hoooo!!! I am going to put off buying a dress as long as I can, of course giving myself enough time for alterations and all that. On a not so happy note my ring has been gone since Saturday, poor thing is off getting sized and I miss her. Am I pathetic or what? I don't care, I am happy and in love. Life is good!

  3. B- I put on a really nice wedding for under $2500.00 and that is with buying the dresses for my maid of honor, bridesmaids, flower girls, etc. I also worked at a second job at a bridal store and we always told the bride to wait six months before ordering the dress. You can figure, every ten to fifteen pounds is a dress size. I went down three dress sizes before I ordered mine.
I also printed my invitations out and they turned out BEAUTIFUL. Got them on sale and did 60 for 20.00! Be sure to check the end caps of Target for things as this is the time they clearance wedding stuff out. I also had everyone save the Michael's flyers for me so I could purchase any items with the 40% off coupons. Since you are having a fall wedding, wait for the fall items to clearance to pick those up as well. I have several other suggestions I would love to share with you.

  4. For the save the date you could do a photo of you guys, your rings, some chocolate brown material...It would be cool to do your picture in sepia (with your colors). Do your own colage of pictures, then edit and 'write' on it Save the date and the date. You can get them printed at Wal-MArt or Sams's super cheap, get envelope (and if you are doing 200 they may have a price break) and send them out.
